Built for the Obsessed
I'm Liam. Black Market started the way every obsession does, too many late nights scrolling Japanese auction sites, learning the kanji for “unused,” and paying too much in proxy fees to land one perfect glide bait on Australian soil.
I'm not trying to be the biggest tackle shop. I'm trying to be the one with taste. A small, ruthless selection of the gear that actually matters. DRT, Roman Made, deps, Gan Craft, the BFS reels you only find on a collector's shelf or a mountain stream, the hand-built glides most people will never hear of, sat alongside apparel and goods you'd wear whether you fished or not.
Everything in here earned its spot. If it's on the wall, it's because I'd fish it or wear it myself. That's the whole rule.
How sourcing works
The best pieces never make it to a shelf. They move quietly between collectors and dealers, surface for a moment, and vanish. Finding them is a full-time obsession, which happens to be ours. Tell us what you're after and leave the chase to us.
- 01
You tell us what you want.
An Isuzu BC reel. A discontinued colour. A rod that never came to Australia. The more detail, the better the hunt.
- 02
We go hunting.
We work our network and the channels most people can't reach, and we don't stop until it surfaces. Could be days, could be months, we keep you posted.
- 03
We verify by hand.
When something's in reach, Liam checks it himself, condition, authenticity, every detail. Nothing dubious gets through.
- 04
You approve, we acquire.
One landed price, all in. Deposit down, we secure it, import it, and hand it over.
Shipping & returns
In-stock orders ship from Australia within 2 business days, tracked.
Sourced & imported pieces typically land 2 to 4 weeks after purchase, depending on the auction and freight. We keep you posted at every step.
In-stock items can be returned within 14 days unused. Sourced pieces are bought to your spec and confirmed before purchase, so they're final sale, which is exactly why we verify condition before you commit.
